Adventures are something we all yearn for – that’s one of the reasons why extreme sports captivate and inspire, why actions and “adventure” movies are some of the most popular in the world, and why most of us want to get out and into the world and experience our own.

From sea expeditions to riveting aerial sports, there is something for everyone. If you are an adrenaline junkie or looking for your next great life adventure and want to experience the world in live and living color, we’ll be taking you on a virtual ride of the most exciting, adrenaline pumping and adventure filled locations in the world.

“An adventurer is someone is seeks, finds, and lives their purpose.”

South Africa is Every Adventurer’s Paradise

South Africa is every adventurer’s paradise for countless reasons.  Although Cape Town is the capital and most visited part of South Africa, let’s dive into the host of activities available to satisfy your adventure craving across the country.

Want to experience shark cage diving, mountain climbing, or bungee jumping? Perhaps water rafting is more your style. If you have never experienced it before, you are in for a one of a kind adrenaline experience! Feeling the strong current down the African river as your raft speeds through and ricochets over the water is a surreal experience.

If you love snowboarding but really don’t feel like dealing with the snow, Jeffreys Bay is right up your alley with its world-famous sandboarding dunes. From gentle slopes to shallower gradients, there are level for beginners to experts of sandboarding. If South Africa has always been on your bucket list, or you are just realizing now how exciting of a vacation spot it is, be sure not to miss out on these adrenaline-fueled activities.

The Extreme Experiences of South America

While there are so many unique adventures in South America, Brazil’s diverse terrain, open blue Atlantic Ocean, and perfect weather make it a haven for water sports enthusiasts. If water is your thing, you know that a trip to Brazil will open you to a world of extreme water sports unlike any other. Whether you are on the South Coast or East Coast, both offer amazing activities that will lead to sublime experiences.

Surfing, wakeboarding, windsurfing, barefoot wakeboarding, whitewater kayaking and more is on offer – but what if you desire something a little more extreme, a little more wild than the rest? You might be thinking, “How could that be possible, what could be even more extreme?

Glad you asked.

What’s a trip to Brazil without kayaking down the Amazon River? This epic wilderness has been featured in books, films and various media for centuries – a mythical, mysterious land that is home to over a hundred bird species, plus jaguars, monkeys, butterflies, and freshwater dolphins (who knew!). This truly once in a lifetime adventure will make your heart pump with excitement as you encounter this wild world.

Moving on from Brazil to Argentina

Moving on from Brazil to Argentina, this may be your best bet if you are looking for a country to enjoy with a seemingly endless rotation of wild landscapes. Think snow-capped mountain peaks, wild tundra and serene lakes that make Argentina such a remarkable location for extreme sports. And there is one sport that stands out among the rest: whitewater rafting.

Nothing beats the thrill of paddling down a gushing river as the water pluses and pushes you downstream.  There are six rivers in Argentina that are particularly popular for whitewater rafting:  Hua-Hum, Alumine, Mendoza, Atuel, Corcovado, and Juramento. Each is packed with a beauty unique to itself, with different levels of “extremeness” all of its own ready for you to explore.

On an Adventure Down Under

When it comes to having an adventure of a lifetime, New Zealand is the place for you. While you can expect to fall in love with the stunning rugged landscape, New Zealand offers something for every thrill-seeker, from big wave surfing to the massive Nevis swing and hang-gliding in the misty mountains.

Of all the exhilarating activities you can do in New Zealand, don’t miss out on canyon swinging! Canyon swinging is an adrenaline attraction featuring freefalling swing rides and zip lines over sheer river canyon walls – let’s just say if you are looking for an adventure that comes straight out of an action movie, you are in the right spot.

One thing to remember: Bring along your 360 camera with you to film yourself being launched cross the massive canyons. You’ll want to catch every second of this epic moment!

Water Sports and Mountain Climbing Galore

Once you’ve had your fun in New Zealand, the next stop on our adventure takes you northeast to Thailand. With its bustling cities, street food culture, art and incredible historical locations, Thailand has always been one of the top locations on world travelers lists, and while most are satisfied by the activities we mentioned, there are a wealth of other heart-pounding adventures you do not want to miss.

What kinds of hair-raising activities are we talking about? Well, for one, scuba diving with sharks. As insane as it sounds, it is actually a popular activity in Thailand, and you would be surprised to find out that most of them are not as scary as people believe them to be. Perhaps  you love the water but find that to be just a bit too much, so you can always also go kiteboarding on the wild waves off the coast.

If you are an adventurer, and you hear the name “Nepal”, chances are your mind instantly goes to Mount Everest. However, there are numerous other large and foreboding mountains to climb, too. Ranging from Madhi Himal to Lhotse to Kanchenjunga to Cho Oyu, Nepal is like a giant playground for adventurers, with its endless soaring mountains, deep canyons, and swathes of lush trees.

If mountaineering isn’t you think, no fear. There are a host of other extreme activities present, and if you are into mountain biking, Nepal has some incredible trails for you to explore. If water is more your style, Nepal offers extreme water sports wedged between the towering Himalayas.

The World Is So Much Bigger Than We Realize

That was quite an action packed lot! Teeming with thrills for adrenaline seekers like you, the world is so much bigger than we realize, and the extent of adventures is seemingly endless. So, which country will you visit next?
