Glen Helen in Southern California 

 

In Southern California, the demand for sandpit motocross biking is quite high, and the Glen Helen course in So Cal leads all other competitors by a long shot. Namely, it is a pun of Mt. Saint Helens, the infamous Oregon volcano that erupted in May 1980. You might be advised to bring a pair of motocross knee guards along with you, as there are a notable amount of riders that have slipped up and fallen on their knees. Is this track really that difficult? This steep and rigorous motocross track has been known to have given the best of the best a run for their money.

 

Unadilla in Upstate New York

Of all the locations to choose from, Unadilla New York, may not be your first choice. But one thing is for sure: bring a high quality helmet that you trust with your life – believe us, you’ll need it. 

At this moto-centric location, riders will drop into what is called the Gravity Cavity moments before being flying on their bikes at least 100 feet into the air. If you don’t hit the landing just so….let’s just say you’ll be extra happy to be wearing your super safety rated motocross helmet.

 

 Red Bud Moto in Michigan

It’s customary for the Red Bud Moto to take place on the 4th of July, and the winner is the rider who is able to handle the legendary Lorocco’s Leap. This triple step up leap is one of the many reasons why gnarly motocross riders love this course. It’s quite alright, because there is a lot of gnarly happening here.

 

Glen Helen in Southern California

The Southwick in Massachusetts requires immense strength because it’s in a sandpit and that means it’s the moto sand track for sure. This makes for plenty of precarious features–ones you couldn’t handle if you didn’t have agility, power, and skill.

 

Cycle Ranch, Texas

Whether it be Motocross or weddings, Cycle Ranch, located just an hour and a half Southeast of San Antonio, offers a premier facility that features 20-plus racing events a year and more than 200 RV hookups in its vast 200 acres. It is, without question, a necessary stop for any serious rider. Practice schedules are available on request.

 

Monster Mountain MX Park, Alabama

Found on 200 acres of land, the Monster Mountain Recreational Area includes a motocross track with one of the country’s most difficult obstacle jumps, as well as a variety of bike races and excursions. These also include off-road-capable and hardcore trails, plus facilities for camping. Established by Mark Barnett himself, be sure to make a stop for gas, restrooms, and over-night camp facilities.
